Adult Immunization Program

The Adult Immunization Program at South Heartland offers Tdap, Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.  COVID-19 vaccinations are available for everyone in the approved age groups.  Tdap and Influenza vaccines are available for adults who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Uninsured: have no health insurance
  • Under-insured: have health insurance but never covers immunizations even after the deductible has been met

Adult Tdap, influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations are given at South Heartland every first Thursday of the month, 12 noon to 6pm.

What is Adult Tdap?

Tdap is a booster immunization given at age 11 that offers continued protection from diphtheria, whooping cough (pertussis) and tetanus for adolescents and adults.

Tdap is recommended for all adults, including pregnant women and anyone who will have close contact with an infant younger than age 12 months at least two weeks prior to infant contact.
